Mycenae (1878) is the account of Heinrich Schliemann's famous archaeological excavations of the lost Greek cities of Mycenae and Tiryns, which began in 1876, and which revealed that the two cities had a historical reality outside Homeric epic. The volume is generously illustrated with images of artefacts, maps and charts.
