In search of a new community and home, Baree begins friendships with bears, beavers, and other animals until he meets his closest friend of all-a young girl named Nepeese. However, when another accident occurs, Baree finds himself once again separated from his family, but this time, he will stop at nothing to reunite with Nepeese.
