Very little is written about the special-needs children during the Holocaust and what happened to them. One important book is Hitler's Forgotten Victims. But besides telling, it is also to show how special these children are-their ability to love and to be loved. They are more than a burden and great responsibility; they bring forth the best in us, values we so often forget or dismiss as not important.
